Of course, but you likes Dark Souls better than Demon's Souls and ICO than Shadow of the Colossus...

We don't think alike most of the time XP

Great minds also collide from time to time :P

TL;DR This is troubling me greatly because I love this engine, what becomes of it now? It would be a damn shame to see it locked away at Konami. I'd like to see some other devs work with it and see what they say about it. Konami could profit aof this but knowing them they'll keep it tight to their idiot chest.

The following is just manure from my brain.

First off it has brought about a massive open world game that works on five different machines right out the gate with few bugs (I've yet to see a glitch or bug). That right there should be praised and used as a standard for other developers and publishers who rush to release.

The lighting is incredible, its very real, varied and often gives an ambiance thats true to life and not just either sunsoaked or dull, it has dozens of variants and is still surprising me. This is the kind of dynamic lighting we need in games, esspecially open world.

If you look at the trees closley you will see the kind of dedication that went into this, every leaf of every tree is shaped out without any of that horribble leftover edges, I don't know if thats the work of the engine or if it came about from Kojima being overzealous near the end of development of the game, but its still epic either way.

I wonder if there are multiple patents on this thing...

Yeah the lighting in MGSV is unreal.  The perfect blend of realistic and pretty imo.  And the AI is probably the best I have seen in any game.
