And Diablo 3 is (according to this) the best selling PC game of all time. And that's what you're using for comparison? Okee dokee.

So only console gamers get to pick and choose what games to compare? should it matter that diablo went on to becoming the best selling PC game of all time?.

No, but since you like to compare lemons with oranges compare now the PC sales of Diablo III with the sales of GTA V on console. Or just on PS3 if you prefer.

Oh, and most of that money for PC gaming is coming from the MMOs. Nothing we didn't know already.

If you consider that PC`s are the best option for MMO and MOBA it comes as no surprise, and really, I see no reason to not consider them, they`re not a illegitimate way of making money, neither are Free 2 play. And also, remember that F2P and even micro transactions are becoming a common place in consoles as well, that`s the very reason we don`t have gameshark anymore.

Not surprising since a lot of games come out for PC everyday

Why do people want to exclude MMO and MOBA?

Some people are really threatened by the growth of PC gaming it seems.

Because they have a different business model. For starting many people playing MMO/MOBA don't even own a PC, they play at Internet cafes.

Then no, no one really feels threatened by the PC, don't worry. Fears of piracy apart, sure. It's more like some PC fanboys like to use the MMO/MOBA numbers to say that the PC is stronger than consoles on AAA games. And that's simply not true. And as such.. annoying.

And what if I arbitrarily want to remove shooters from consoles as a revenue source?

Most people in the Western world own a PC, but I guess you're right about Asian countries like China (wouldn't really know tbh).

People obviously do feel threatened by PC here. Not sure why, it's just an added source of revenue for developers.

Not sure how that equates to double since they are so close. But sure.

Gotta figure out how to set these up lol.

No, but the majority of them are F2P so that doesn't follow suit. There is of course the micro transactions that go with, but then it's gotta be compared directly to games that do the same.

Many MMO have a monthly subscription fee though.

Games are games.

No. Not anymore, there are very few that have monthly subscription fees.

10 years ago, yeah. Now, not so much.
