i feel that the school could have done a better job about pr b/c she did break the rules....

I can see a "hey what you did was wrong and we don't promote it, but thankfully you were in the right place at the right time." and how the hell does a student get to call herself in from school??? Maybe she was waiting to get home so her grammies could do it. Damn. And since the bus went out of control and hit cars cops then had to get involved delaying the ride home and phone call to school.

She should go to the detention wearing a custom made white shirt that states. I saved a few dozen children from death, and I'm in detention for it. Freedom of Expression ftw. :)

Not allowed dude. My high school censored shit all the time. They made me take off a shirt that said "Dr Sorick has a PhD in History. He knows everything" they tried telling me it was slander. The reason why I wore it because he was talking out of his ass one day and I told him he obviously didn't know what he was talking about. His response "I have a phd in history" mine- "So you know everything then?" him "Ah er gah er"

Too bad if they don't allow it. They can send her home. If I were that girl (Oh God that would be fun :P), I'd be pissed off for SAVING people from certain injury and even death, and over what? NOT CALLING IN? Fuck off. This is why the world is the shithole it is today. People are too caught up their own asses to see even a glimpse of light.

C'mon, she should've gotten a warning, 1st offense slap on the wrist or something. That's just too harsh.

^ i agree that the punish ment was a little much...but we need to start holding people accountable for theirs choices regardless of how good they might have turned out

When i was in the years when uniform was worn a boy in my class got a detention for wearing a badge saying "End war now" or something like that, i got sent home for painting my unform on the second to last day of school, but on the last day they didnt give a shit. They also phoned my parents abpout it but they just got pissed of at them XD
