Forums - Politics - OP updated: 3 wounded as 2 off-duty US Marines subdue gunman on Paris-bound train in Belgium

Bloody Americans. It was probably America's fault he was going to kill people in France in the first place!

In a very literal way those two Americans are indeed bloody today (one in critical condition) and are likely the reason a train full of people didn't join them. Think before you type.

They certainly showed the "Semper" part of Semper Fi to be more than a casual motto today! Ak-47, 300 rounds, everyone trapped in a train... This could have ended far, far worse.

You took that seriously?  Wow.

It can be hard to detect sarcasm in text, especially when you just got done arguing with someone on facebook who typed almost verbatim the same sentiment, but actually met it.

I am relieved if that was indeed sarcasm!

No problem.  I know sarcasm isn't the same without inflection but I did think the second line was crazy enough to show my intent.  I guess I once more underestimated the ridiculous things people can say on the internet.

Hah you can always be sure that your exaggerated version of whomever you're making fun of not only exists, but that your exaggerating is actually selling them short.

Nice, thankfully he was there to save the day.

Man, I was planning traveling to Paris early next year, but after all this terrorism I might change it for Rome/Florence. :P

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

France will beef up the security now and flight costs will plummet because of the incident. Probably the best time to go.

Luckily the soldiers where there. It could have been much worse. They deserve a reward. Like a real holiday.

Thanks for the advice, I will think about it. I have been to Spain some times, but never in Valencia.
