Forums - Gaming Discussion - Why are so many gamers not into Japanese games yet are in to Anime? :<

In a lot of gaming forums, youtube or in PSN i see a lot of people having Anime pictures as their avatar and they seem to be persons who are into anime, but if you look into their PSN profile you see almost zero japanese games for their trophy list or much less than their avatar or love for Anime is suggesting.

I know japanese cartoons and japanese games are two different things but i dont understand why people dont want to try even one japanese game if they are into Anime, espacially the jrpgs. Whats your opinions are the two interchangble with each other for you?

i am not Into movies or anything viewing related anymore just videogames.

I dont think so a lot of these jrpgs are pretty much like an interatctive Anime

Maybe the anime is of the hentai sort?

Well even then there is DoA and senran kagura which have a lot of nudity

No idea.I enjoy a wide variety of games. Japanese, western, anime, movies, series.

If i had to guess, my opinion is that japanese games became "uncool" last gen and most people let the masses make the decisios for them. Social acceptance level i suppose. It needs to be popular again.

Why are people into Japanese cars but not Japanese women? They are the same.

Never go full anime.

I'm the opposite, for the most part. Attack on Titan is fucking amazing tho.

I'm now filled with determination.

I do the opposite, I wear anime avatars but I don't really see anime. But I do play a lot of japanese games. It's a matter of tastes.

Because they're very different experiences, I'd say. Plus the 2D animation used in a lot of Anime is gorgeous, whereas the 3D visuals in most Japanese games is kind of a turnoff, honestly. The writing from what I've seen isn't on par with the better anime, either.

That said, when it comes to Anime and JRPGs, I tend to prefer the stuff released pre 2000's anyway, with a few notable exceptions.
