Forums - Gaming - Sony: Market Research Shows that ‘people want to try Project Morpheus’

I definitely want to try it. I am almost certainly not going to buy it.

i want to try.
but ill wait the wave the sense of novelty go away and buy a used one from someone that dont want anymore.

sorry my skeptcism, but all seems the same of 3D and motion controls: imersive, incredible in the first time, but invasive and non tradictional compared to couch+TV+no glasses.

They may be interested but I doubt many of them would be willing to spend $200+ on a device they've never seen anything like before.

Personally, I'm not really interested in VR and I see Morpheus being a product that appeals to a niche audience.

Yea, they would've said the same about motion control. Putting the emphasis on "unexpected success".

And i will buy one. To have the freedom not to care about the price tag plays a role. If it's going to be a technical catastrophe, like the Virtual Boy, i'll reconsider. I doubt it considering the overall positive reactions.

Regarding pricing. Sony, in contrast to most other VR contender, can lower the price of the hardware early, break even or below, or subsidize it from the very start (bundle) and still thrive on sold software. TBH, I also doubt they're going to subsidize it. Development cost certainly weren't cheap.

Hunting Season is done...

I want to try it but I love VR. It is hard sometimes to play games without VR after you experienced VR with them.
