I thought the point of playing video games was to enjoy them and not to rush through them as fast as possible.

Looks like someone hasn't played The Order: 1886.

Also, of course there was an agenda in that score. I mean, real reviewers just gushed over the game.

Huh?  Where in that sentence did I mention anything about The Order: 1886?

So your agenda was to complete The Order: 1886 as quickly as possible to show how short the game was so you could further justify giving it a low score and then call yourself unbiased.  Got it...

Your entire post was about my review of The Order: 1886.

There's nothing about wanting to skip shitty, boring cut scenes telling a terrible and cliched story that means I wanna rush through games. I just don't like being bored, hope that helps.

And I certainly didn't need to rush or have an agenda to show how lightning fast one could platinum the game (5 1/2 hours IIRC). I'm glad you got it.

You thought partially wrong, though, because there's joy to be had rushing a videogame. Fun doesn't necessarily have to come by the mere act of playing a game by its rules.

Just a personal remark, there. :P

The last two sentences in my post, one of which you quoted, was a generalized statement that had nothing to do with The Order: 1886, but I will let that one slide.

Huh?  Again, where in my statement:

"So your agenda was to complete The Order: 1886 as quickly as possible to show how short the game was so you could further justify giving it a low score and then call yourself unbiased.  Got it..."

did I mention anything about skipping cutscenes to finish the game faster?  You even said it yourself that you can't skip the cutscenes in The Order: 1886.  So how can you complete the game faster by skipping unskippable cutscenes?

I can agree with that.  I overlooked the joy that some gamers get from doing speedruns and instead focused solely on a gamer's experience when playing the game the first time through.

Almost died of laughter here

You don't have to let it slide, you're clearly confused, I will help you. Your generalized statement was in the same paragraph where you are criticizing my review of The Order. It's about my play through of The Order. You're assuming that because I want to skip the cut scenes in The Order, that I am trying to rush through the game or I am doing it wrong. "games are meant to be enjoyed, not rushed through". That is simply incorrect. I will take my time through a story driven game with a lot of cut scenes if the story is any good. Like Metal Gear Solid. I don't need a 5 minute walking scene between two shitty characters if the story isn't interesting. I hope that helps.

The last part here is just you steering wildly off course and crashing. You implied I had an agenda to finish The Order quickly to justify a low score, I said I didn't need an agenda or to rush in order to finish it quick. After all, I completely finished the entire game, getting all collectibles and completing all of the weapon trophies in under 6 hours. LOL @ agenda or rushing. Not sure where unskippable cut scenes are playing in for you here, and I don't really care. I'll reply again if you have anything worth replying to, not more BS about The Order that doesn't apply to anything I have said in this thread.

My apoligies for not hitting the enter button and making it a separate paragraph.  I am also sorry that I didn't say more generalized terms.  I thought "most people", "certain games" and "playing video games" was pretty generalized.  But it is amazing that another person quoted the same exact sentence as you and mentioned nothing about The Order: 1886:

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=7471640

You have a habit of putting words in other people's mouths time and time again, and this instance is no different.  Even though I am telling you time and time again that my statement was generalized, you will try to spin it so it fits your agenda.

You criticize this review by making comments such as:

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=7470923

But complain about not being able skip cutscenes in your first playthrough of The Order: 1886 and then call yourself unbiased:

Were you directly referencing this user and  a The Order 1886 review he had written in your post? No? Well shucks then, I'm shocked they gave a different reply than me. I'm having a hard time believe you're this hung up on your own "mistake" and are not just replying for shits n giggles. You made this about The Order 1886 and my play through of it when you made your post. You made a comment about how people should play games to enjoy them and not rush through, right in the same post and paragraph where you're complaining that I wanted to skip cut scenes in The Order. I replied talking about The Order because 1. you had brought it up, and 2. it's a shining example of a game people DON'T want to play slowly and enjoy, because it's a terrible game. Just move on, guy.

Cool, another agenda. Says the guy quoting my review from some other game that is completely irrelevant in this thread because he thinks he's making some grand point.

I didn't criticize any review. This isn't a review. The game doesn't launch until 2016. I did, however, criticize most of the complaints he had with the game. Not being able to skip cut scenes in The Order and me complaining about it has absolutely nothing to do with what I said in that first post you just linked. I hope that helps. Feel free to bump my Order review and we can discuss it there if you're so hung up on it.

20 minutes long video after every chapter... Don't people usually complain about long cutscenes even when there is a skip option? I see the Sharks circling for blood already. Lol!
