Apparently it may happen because of that. And people is asking to be in the same style of REmake.

Some (including me) are asking it to be the style of Revelations which I think would feel more fresh.  

I would love it if REmake2 would have co-op like making the story similar to RE The Darkside Chronicles on Wii where Leon and Claire are always together but that's just me, I love me some couch co-op.

They should leave the co-op for Resident Evil 7, and leave this as single player. Always playing with someone destryoys the immersion/atmosphere of the original game.

I went back to the remake and it has aged well. I can only imagine a PS4 level game with pre-rendered backgrounds letting them focus on character models. To me it would feel weird for RE1-3 to have remakes that were not in that fixed camera style.

I believe both Umbrella and Darkside Chronicles are very good games and serves the purpose to show other pov in the classic games.
