Forums - Gaming - With DQXI going multiplat, could Monster Hunter go down that path as well?

Could MH go multiplatform for the next entries?

Yes 44 36.36%

No 25 20.66%

Over my dead body! 3 2.48%

Nintendo won't allow it. 10 8.26%

DQXI going multiplatform ... 17 14.05%

Nintendo will secure next... 10 8.26%

Why not PS4 exclusive? 8 6.61%

So many MH games and stil... 4 3.31%

Total:121

Op...why would Nintendo secure anything? Losing exclusivity of a franchise is a win for Nintendo, have you not read the DQXI thread? They'll welcome and celebrate MH going multiplat.

anyone remember when nintendo holding closed room developer conference on 2007 at japan ?
monster hunter tri which is originally planned to be release on ps3 but coming to Wii which caused mid tier meltdown on certain gaming board lol

and monster hunter 4 on 3ds exclusive where its exploded , every gaming site comment section filled with console beggar (lol) great time

i think Nintendo will throw cash at it to get NX some exclusive games (assuming NX is home console)

Well we haven't even got dragons dogma 2 yet just some f2p online game coming. So I think ill wait for that before getting my hopes up for a mh Multiplat.

i thought Monster Hunter is from Capcom and not from Square Enix. So i don't know the relevance of the DQ XI to Mon Hun. I think Mon Hun would still be a handheld game especially Japan really love that on their handhelds. coming to Vita, maybe which I'm fine with it. Having SE additional ton of money going multiplat. But on a home console it won't happen and development costs are higher and doesn't sustain the revenue they'll be getting anyway.

Maybe. Though I don't think DQ has anything to do with it.

I hope so

Monster Hunter 5 on PS4 wouldn't sell.

Monster Hunter 5 on 3DS/PS4 would have 95% of its sales on 3DS.

Capcom needs Nintendo. They have the only viable handheld, and Monster Hunter is a handheld franchise.

Yes it would sell, and would make more money dueto 60$ price

it should. i dont understand why a lot of japanese games arent multiplate.
