I loved the Fountainhead, but it didn't make me crazy. Is that okay?

I liked it when I was younger (when I was 12, that's when I read the Fountainhead). Atlas Shrugged was a good read. I found out that applying Objectivist principles and standards in relationships with friends, relatives and lovers was unpleasant. But hey, that's just me.

It's only unpleasant if you have a problem with saying "You are of no use to me. Leave." on a regular basis.

Well, true 'nuff! I suppose it depends on the class of people you know. As the song goes "I've got friends in... "

Why is it that Ayn Rand threads always bring out the wise-crackin' wackos? I suppose I should talk about that with my therapist.

Which is exactly why it's his tag now:

I'm bookmarking the fuck out of this thread. I'll be back. Don't have too much fun without me. I'll have to do some more research on Objectivism before I make any claims one way or the other. As of right now, I can't tell if I agree or not.
