Then there's also the puting pieces back mechanic, interdimensional puzzle-solving sequences, dream sequences and be-wary-not-to-be-grabbed-by-the-monster-in-this-horrible-maze sequence; it's just not running in ego mode.

Awesome!

Well would be surprising if they not made money back (fast). They just had to port it for PS4 :s. Game released last summer/Fall on PC?

September 25th 2014 on PC, I don't understand what profits there counting are they saying it took them 10 months work to port it to PS4 and they doubled that cost? Or is it the cost of the game they made initially for PC they made back?

Is there a game that have flopped on the Ps4?

Im not talking about "less than predicted but still made money" kind of flop, im talking about "we definitely lost money on the game" flop.

Third Party games on the Ps4 always seems to sell like hot cakes.

10 months of work for 8 (polish) developers should cost somewhere around 8devs × 10months × $10,000"employment cost"/month. That sums up to something like $800,000. The game is sold for $15 - $17 digital. The developpers should get about half of that or about $8 per copy. To get their investment back that would be ~100,000 copies. So when they made twice that it would be around 200,000 copies. That is roughly 1% of the PS4 owners.
Could this be a correct assessment?

Right 10 months of porting the game to a new engine and platform is free.

"we have remade the entire game from scratch on Unreal Engine 4" - "It took us ten months of hard work to make the PlayStation 4 version of the game, and we played it about a thousand times. Then, when the game was done, we tested it thoroughly. Then we had external testers test it thoroughly."

I wonder what platforms they'll support in the future....

They have prepared for VR (OR), XB1, Mac, Linux and SteamOS but "right after the PC UE4 release is done – in a few weeks, hopefully – we will investigate how much work the aforementioned ports would be. "
