PSNow is a game streaming service, designed for previous generation games (PS3), and allow people to play these games directly from their TV, mobile, Blu ray player... Without a Playstation. Please show me how EA Access do that.

2 missed the point completely. If you want metaphors, I'll try one : I'm telling you if you've been sick everytime you went to the restaurant across the street, maybe you should be careful and not rush there when they have a special offer with a free dessert for a paid dish.

Not too happy about that metaphor, but I sure hope people will understand the point of my previous post without further explanation (and I'm sure some will, and some others don't want to).

1) PSNow is a subscription based rental service just like EA Access. There's no way to circumvent this.

They just use different ways to deliver the same type of service to their customer.

The extra platforms they're on doesn't matter as we're talking about consoles here.

2) You're metaphor couldn't be employed in a more erroneous way. You imply with it that users already got burned by EA Access, when we didn't.

All you're saying is, you have a bad feeling about something you never used and one day it might become a Loch Ness monster.

I vote with my wallet like the gamers that chose EA Access and I'll keep in mind your advice, when they try to charge us $20/month or $45/month like the other guys.

You didn't understand PSNow at all IMO ^^. PS Plus is a rental service like EA Access if you want, but PSNow is a streaming cross-platform cloud service. PSNow could be considered like the PS5 beta, a test for an economic model without consoles. If you think it's the same thing than just a discount access to a few games you can already have on your console (like PS+ and EA Access), I won't take this matter further.

And you still missed my point, because I didn't say "You've been burned by EA Access". I said the industry turned "good value for the customer" into "garbage gaming rip off" on almost any new trend, so be careful it doesn't turn into a trend like this.

Wow , Then it's mean less money for EA from the marketing deal, bad movement from EA, they can just hold until it release then can use their EA Access.

No, If EA Access was exclusive or available for PS4, guess what... I still wouldnt want it. I dont want to pay to play a demo, and I dont want to pay to get a game a few days early. Also I dont really much care for most of EA's output over the last few years, it's really gone a bit downhill for me.

Drop the excuse please. You dont have  an xbox one, do you?

One of the worst arguments I've seen here in the 6 years I've been vising VGC. But you only say this because you don't have an OUYA, do you?

I'm glad Sony didn't allow us the option of subscribing to EA Access! Why would I want 12 free games, a 10% discount along early access for $2.50 a month!? There's no value there! Instead, I'd much rather pay 10X that much per month for PSNow where I can stream 8 year old game with terrible input lag! PSNow wont have any negative repercussions on the industry, right!? I WANT a future where there are no consoles, just streaming services where I pay an exorbitant amount of money to play games that I don't even own with controls that don't react to my inputs! Yeah! To hell with EA Access, bring on PSNow!!!

Didn't you already post this earlier (even several times?), and then edited your previous post (turning it into "Hum...."), just to post it again?

What do you want us to respond to this so much?

So...it wasn't okay to talk about how Battlefront being on EA Access might effect the holidays as compared to the Sony marketing deal, but totally dumping Battlefront out of it and just talking about EA Access and comparing it to PSNow is totally fine?

Neat...

Anyways, will EA Access allow players to play online before the game comes out? and do we know how far ahead of time it comes out?

To try to answer your questions, I'll use the example of BF Hardline, that was the most recent game with a similar situation. That game was available 5 days in advance, and allowed 10 hours of single player and unlimited multiplayer, with MP stats carrying over to the full game.

So, a very good incentive for fans and those that plan to buy the game day one, along with a 10% discount on the full game purchase.

Sounds good for those who own a Xbox One and a EA Access subscription. Sony really should've given its consumers the choice in EA Access and voting with their wallets whether it was worth the value or not. Quite a coup for Xbox players nonetheless.

You just described what every Battlefront has ever been.

I don't know if you've played Battlefield and Battlefront I or II but the two are rather different.

*edit* If you're referring back to Battlefield1942 then I'd agree they're similar, though the look and feel are quite different and Battlefront included some extra features and gameplay modes. There's very little in common between the newer Battlefields and Battlefront I & II.

I did play Battlefront 1, 2, and Renegade Squadron (Best one).  I also played BF2 on PS2 a few years after playing the Battlefront games and said "Wow this is the exact same thing."

They are both class-based 24-64 player shooters with vehicles and conquest.  The.  Same.

Prediction for console Lifetime sales:

Wii:100-120 million, PS3:80-110 million, 360:70-100 million

[Prediction Made 11/5/2009]

3DS: 65m, PSV: 22m, Wii U: 18-22m, PS4: 80-120m, X1: 35-55m

I gauruntee the PS5 comes out after only 5-6 years after the launch of the PS4.

[Prediction Made 6/18/2014]

What are you talking about?  I have other posts in this thread but I'm not copy/pasting.  If you're angry that I made a point you can't counter then fine, but please don't accuse me of doing things I haven't done.  No need to act childish just because my opinion makes more sense than yours.

Yeah, that's pretty good. I personally don't play many EA games, and I'm not sure I like the idea of publisher specific subscriptions, but it's a good value and I wouldn't be upset about it bieng offered on the PS4.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.
