Forums - Gaming - Digital Foundry: The Witcher 3 Patch 1.07 (Xbone/PS4 Drops Performance)

I'm not even going to bother downloading it, I'm in the last 3-4 hours of the game now judging by the guide and I haven't come across any bugs what so ever on ps4. So if this patch is going to make things worse I don't want to chance it my game as ran smoothly from the start.

CDproject are the worst devolopers i have ever seen, they dont deserve any money imo. Why even patch the game you make it worse?

I wish every dev was as "bad" as CDProject.

Anyway i noticed this update last night, mostly for its gargantuan (7.2GB) size. I did notice some stuttering in convos.

Wish the same could be said 'bout batman...

This is quite disappointing for CD Projekt Red. Considering Witcher was one of the surefire contenders for Game of the Year, patches like this severely hurt your chances Etho-Sensei; other strong contenders like Xenoblade Chronicles X, Fallout IV and Phantom Pain no less.

i reached level 20 before taking a break and never ever came accross with any bugs or crash but the frame rate drops is real in certain area and can be a little annoying.

PC seem to have taken a hit in performance as well, i have been playing at ultra with Nvidia hair above 60-70fps with rarely drops below 60fps. Now i can't use Nvidia hairworks without dropping below 56fps a lot more consistent.. i don't use vertical sync so when it drops below 60 which it now does a lot often then previously.. it's like a party of screentear.. When i remove the Nvidia hairworks, it goes all the way up to 90fps.. which it didnt do before the patch, then i used to hit like 80fps max.. It's weird.. Now i have to play almosty everything at high with a few things i priotize more at ultra. Not complaining, it's just weird.

It looks good enough to me. I've been enjoying the hell out of it, the past few weekends.

Unless Fallout 4 screws up very badly, it's almost guaranteed to get GOTY, imo.
