I have my PS3 hooked up via the component cables, but I have my 360 hooked up to my LCD via the VGA. My, my, it's a pretty picture. I tried to hook up my PS3 with an HDMI to DVI cable, but nada. I would love to see if HDMI to VGA works great.

It would probaly look worse. I think it is because dvi is digital like hdmi while vga is analog.

On a monitor you wouldnt notice a difference between Hdmi or Vga. Digital and analog isnt much different. HDmi is hyped. I dont think I can notice a difference on my 42" Panasonic HD 1080p TV.

It depends on the source. If the game (360 or PS3) is native at a much lower resolution then 1900x1080 (Halo 3 for example), they you probably won't notice much. If it's native 1900x1080 (not many games), you would notice it (I would anyway).

The real noticeable difference between DVI (HDMI) and VGA, is color, not resolution.

Around the Network

As long as the monitor is HDCP compliant, you won't have any problem getting your PS3 to connect.

If you're monitor isn't HDCP compliant, then you're going to need to buy a HDCP stipper, which'll cost you btween £50-£100
