Sayonara Iwata-san.

From someone who is there: Miyamoto have red eyes from crying.... I am worry about him.

Was Itoi there? If so how was he, he was also close to Iwata.

She did not saw Itoi, but maybe it has to do with her being too sad to paid attention to anything else. He should be there though, because all Nintendo HQ workers went to pay condolences at the wake.

It's painfully obvious that Miyamoto's dearly affected by this. Miyamoto and Iwata were such good friends that they seemed like family in a way.

It's not only that they were friends.

The last years we've heard many times about Miyamoto's retirement and how he would do it gradually to avoid causing any big trouble, and all that plan came from talks between him and Iwata either at the offices or during the numerous travels they made together. Now think about it: planning your retirement, talking amicably about what he will do once he is retired and listening to Iwata telling him jokingly things like "you'll never retire, you'll get bored", etc. only to find out that he is still at Nintendo while his friend has gone.

My best wishes to his family and close ones.

Did you know that everytime you use capslock, you murder a puppy? Something to think about while you are creating all these threads with capslock on

Still can't believe Iwata is dead, like after the whole essh worthy e3, the fact that the last things he is going to remember before he died is the large amounts of hate against Nintendo is such a shame

Couldnt agree more,  i had disliked federation force before that, so i liked it instead to honour iwata. We all gonna miss him so much :/ Im still sad about his passing

Oh my god that's so sad. I hope doesn't dwell on that fact too much.

Before he died I'd have likely gone with a 7 or so (as in it's sad but won't be on my mind for a long time), but what I've learned of him since has pushed that up to a 9. I'll be missing him whenever I think of him.

I'm reserving the 10 for Miyamoto, may he live forever!

Yeah, I'm still sad about Iwata's passing as well. It's a weird feeling to have for someone from the (for me) other side of the world, but for some reason it seems like somehow we 'knew' him. I guess it's the way he always presented himself to us, the fans, on such a personal level. He will surely be missed, and I presume this was a tough day for everyone attending the funeral. My thoughts are with them.
