| That Guy said: yeah its only 15 bucks now so I'll eventually get around to playing MGS3. Hrm. I should get a PS2 at that then, eh? maybe I'll wait until the MGS4 pack comes out and I'll get a PS3-- oh wait what about BC? crap |
ive heard something bout a full mgs saga coming in one bundle, and i dont thing they will do that for only the PS2 especially since some ps3's dont have BC anymore
I have never owned a PS2, I just lived with people who had one. I'm going to be moving out soon, so its either 1) get a PS2, or 2) get the MGS4 pack. And unfortunately, if MGS anthology back doesn't work for PS3 because of bc, then that would be really weak and dumb on Sony's part.
I own MGS1 for PS1, though I don't know where it is, and I own MGS2. So I'd just want to get MGS3, but if the entire pack is 30 bucks then meh, why not.
Do you know if the pack is regular Snake Eater or is it the subsistence version?

MGS3: Subsitence - 9.5 or a 10, depending on my mood.
MGS - 10
MGS2 - 7, if I'm feeling generous.
Portable Ops - Unrated (I haven't gotten used to the control scheme yet, so I've spent almost no time with it).
Why is MGS3 listed above MGS when MGS has the solid ten? Because the Subsistence version has a fucking third-person camera, that's why.
MGS3 makes up for the horrors of MGS2 in every single way. The ending of MGS3 even repairs some of the damage done by the story in MGS2 and makes much more sense out of the story leading up to MGS4.

I believe that the MGS Anthology includes MGS2: Substance and MGS3: Subsistence. And the games should be backwards compatible on the 80 GB PS3s.
"Do you know if the pack is regular Snake Eater or is it the subsistence version?"
Its the subsistance version.
Anyway...here's how i rate them.
1.MGS2-I really enjoyed this installment(even though i can understand peoples hate for it with the crazy ending, which i loved right up until the final few codec conversations.
2.MGS-It was the original and brilliant, but i found it harder to enjoy due to having played MGS2 beforehand and experienced the(slightly) better controls and camera.
3.MGS3-This game despite having the best story of the series and the some of the best bosses ever, was made extremely difficult to play due to the camera and the lack of radar.Thats why Im picking up the essential collecion, basically to play MGS3 without a crappy camera.
1) MGS
2)MGS2 (I loved the details and the Tanker level)
3) MGS 3 ( This is why you shouldn't make a game to realistic;.).

Borkachev,
are u sure u can claim MGS2 story (on the end) is crazy bullshit ???
If I remember well, the story is explained at the end and u can understand it.
The only thing that remain unclear to me is what will happen to Raiden now that he has complete his "true mission" (same for Rose actually)
Time to Work !
MGS 2. Love it, nuff said
MGS 1. For its time, a master piece.
MGS3. Kinda hated how they took out the codac, could not stand the camera (til the rerelease at least) and seemed short. With that said it was still a great game.
