Forums - General - Scientology tries to get restraining order on anonymous TWICE (fun video)

iono. If people are willingly buying into it and Scientology isn't forcing it upon anyone, i see no harm in it

Its kind of like porn. I don't buy it or anything, but I won't force other people to *NOT* buy it. I'm not going to be the police of that kind of stuff. Even if its some weird 500 dollar CD's, I don't see the *crime* in that. It's no different than picking up 500 dollars worth of random pop psychology books at Barnes and Noble.

In the end, its what people choose to believe for themselves.

Now there's a line that cannot be crossed though. If the church is forcing people to refuse medicine or something and the person goes crazy and kills himself, then that's different. Then you're getting in to legal issues.

So inform me more about this Scientology stuff. All I know is that Scientologists believe in a "Being" or a soul and that it lives on after you die. And presently, you are trying to let go of stuff that would defile your inner being, i.e. drugs, anxieties, etc. This describes probably 90% of the religions out there, right?

So tell me why its so evil (besides Tom Cruise taking Katie Holmes from us. Nooooooooooo!)

Also, I like the masks and all. Pretty awesome.

ROFL - absolutely priceless :). If I was there, I would have joined in for sure.

I don't know anyone who even takes scientology seriously here (in Australia) - so until that happens, I can't justify wasting any of my time on it.

And being an Aethiest, I believe that people should (sort of?) have the right in believe in whatever they want - just not practice it if it breaks legal (or moral?) grounds.
