Motion-sensing controllers have been around for the bleedin' longest.

why would they want to copy a game that got a 58??

The second poster makes more sense with copying SSBB. Sony could pull it off with its great franchises like Crash Bandicoot, Kratos, etc.
I don't think M$ could though, all they have is Gears of War and Halo.

 it's not about the technology they used

 it's the fact that they didn't have sixaxis in the design until they saw the wiimote and then they added in sixaxis at the 11th hour because of the wiimote

It's not the game you would try to copy.  It's the theory of the game.  Aka, everyone needs an extra controller and a lot of people people won't mind throwing a little extra on top for a game.
