Forums - Microsoft - My take on the E3 Microsoft Conference.

Now this is where I rate the game conference, its not to follow the "Rate Microsoft E3 press conference", its totally my take, and its going to be in detail.

Now today, we had the Microsoft E3 press conference. And it was pretty good! For starters, we had B/C, which was a MASSIVE SURPRISE, no one was expecting that. We also had a new Rare IP, and a classic collection of games. We had a demo of Hololense with Minecraft, Halo 5 and ROTR gameplay, Gears of War remastered, Gears of War 4 teaser, 2 new IP's, and a bunch of other good looking indie's (didn't really care for them, sorry). Microsoft also launched a preview program where you could play games still in developement. There was more as well, though I can't remember them. Now some people are saying this was disappointing, and I utterly disagree. It was a great conference, solid 8/10, though I feel there wasn't enough time to do everything, so we'll see alot at gamescome.

As for Sony responding, I don't know. All signs are pointing to a mainly focused 3rd party conference, and while that's not bad, its not going to be surprising. Maybe BO3 at Sony's conference for once, yeah? I also see a 349 price cut, as its going to be almost impossible to top it off, and it'll probably generate hype, though if they still hold out at 399, I'm going to be shocked.

Halo 5
Gear 4
Backward compatibility
Tom Raider

8/10 because of Gear 4,otherwise 7/10

basic Microsoft conference as always, same games again and again and again - HALO,FORZA,GEARS.............nothing else

The games to me were a little MEH.

Gears looked good but not GREAT.

Good diverse lineup, but a bit underwhelming.

I thought it was a good conference. Once again lol @ anyone trying to say backwards compatibility is not a big deal, it's a megaton.

I personally didn't care for a lot of the games there though. I didn't give a shit about the new Tomb Raider, The Division, or Gears of War for that matter. (Never played GOW before).

Halo 5: Guardians looked fine.
Nice to see Microsoft showing off new 2 new IP's but the first one was just a CGI trailer so I have no idea what to expect from it. Rare's new game Sea of Thieves looked great in my opinion, glad to see them making something different. It's a shame to see so many people immediately ruling it out because it's not the Banjo-Threeie they wanted.
Rare Collection is also an amazing value as well, 30 games for $30.

I wish there were more gaming-related surprises though. The only real surprise I can think of is the Rare Collection. The only megaton of the entire conference was I think backwards compatibility.

I'd still give it an 8/10. It showed game after game after game like last E3. It was good, it might not have been mindblowing, but it was good.

I give it a C.Nothing new or exciting and they already announced the games that would be shown. Most of it was Windows 10,Indie,backwards capability and multiplat games.

I find the hypocrites funny that they bash another company for porting old games and having indies/free to play and then praise MS for announcing a feature that plays old games, showing indies and free to play games.Overall it was a solid show with all the predictable games shown and a heavy focus on WIndows 10/multiplats as expected.

Halo 5 looked good as did Gears 4 even though I am not a fan of either.Nothing make me want to run out and get an X1,though I may get one at a cheaper price when both QB and Gears 4 are really cheap.Might even pick up Halo just because.

Great for Xbox fans, but nothing that will make anyone choose an X1 over the competition.

I didn't watch all of it but my favorite part were those neat looking indies like Cuphead, Ashen, Beyond Eyes.

When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.

8.5 cuz no World of Tanks Xbox One release yet and they didn't tell me about BC a few months back. I could have downloaded the GWG games lol.
