FF XIII is out on the PS3 in 2009. Valkyrie Chronicles and White Knight Story are due out at the end of the year.

 E3 is right around the corner; I'd expect Sony to retilate in some fashion. As for the OP the PS3 was a must due to MGS4; after purchase I began to enjoy it more and more. Granted I had a 360 for the gaming library, but the dvd drive had some sort of error and the warrenty somehow didn't cover it...

It's impossible for the world to agree on what console is truly better, so you will never find the answer. Both are good in some ways, and both are bad in other ways. It's as simple as that. I like them both, but that's just me. Hey, I like all consoles the same, because it's not the consoles that are important, but the games that are important. A console is just plastic and metal. That's all it is. PS3 is no better than an Atari 2600 without games (excluding that multimedia stuff). So what games are better? I don't know. Go check review sites, and do some research. That's all I can say. Both have good games, and bad games, but judging by reviews, the Xbox 360 has far more, better rated games than the PS3, but hey, maybe you're a solid fan of Metal Gear Solid, so maybe the PS3 is more appealing to you, because of that game. It doesn't matter what one you buy. Even if you blindly chose one, you're getting something good.

I bought a ps3 for Naughty Dog, among other 1st part development teams. My discovery of Metal Gear Solid and God of War after I bought the machine made the purchase all the more worth it.

Tbh, I love most of Sony and Nintendo's first party teams. Naughty Dog, Team ICO, Sony Santa Monica, etc. Nintendo, Nintendo, Nintendo, etc. :P

Exactly what I would have said, apart from FF(theres alot better out there if you look). But like kingofwale I dont just want good FPS or driving games, I want good games in all genres. Thats why I chose 360. I was gonna get a PS3 this year but MGS4 and LBP (the only 2 games I want on the system) arent enough to make me spend out. After all instead I can spend the money on NG2, IU, TLR, SO4, Fable 2, TOV, Too Human and GOW2 this year. Although 2 of those titles may be next year.

 

OT: Games are the reason I choose my main platform. Online 2nd. And anything else that comes with it is a bonus.

 

Well, the only reason why I bought 360 instead of PS3 was the price. I just wanted to play nhl and some racers. After I got used to the gamepad, I did not want to touch ps2/3 pad again. :D And it did not take too long before I was playing a lot of games, which I never thought of playing. 360 looks great on my hdtv, at my friends sdtv it looks like crap. :/

Anyway, both are great consoles and have a lot of good games to play.
