Forums - Gaming - Best video game console for each genre?

If you had a pick one console with the best library of games for each genre, what console would it be? This is excluding arcades, (what people probably would say for fighting games) only home consoles.

Xbox for FPS and Online

PS4 Action Adventure

Wii U for The Nintendo Genre (Metroid, Zelda, Star Fox, Mario, DK)

For the RPG Genre, definitely the Snes. Chrono Trigger, Super Mario RPG, Final Fantasy, Illusion of Gaia, and of course Earthbound.

I'd also argue that the Wii U has the best platformers.

Edit: I thought you meant all consoles from all time. I'm dumb. I'll change my Rpg answer to the PS4, I suppose!

There is no Nintendo genre.

There is no Santa Claus.

God is dead.

PS1?

NES - Platformers

SNES - RPGs

N64 - 3D Platformers

360 - FPS, Fighters

PS3/PS4 - Adventure/RPGs

PSP - JRPGs

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

PS1/SNES/PS2/PC/NDS - RPG
Wii U/Wii/N64/PS2/NES/Sega Consoles - Platformers
GC/PS2/PS3 - Action-Adventures - GC had Metroid Prime, and LoZ; PS2 - ICO/SOTC and a lot of other great smaller name Action-Adventures; PS3 - Uncharted and Infamous as well as smaller Action-Adventure games like Folklore and multi-plats like Darksiders.
Sony Platforms - Racing

I guess PS1, PS2 and now PS4 is the choice for all type of genres.

PS3 had few games in some genres :( so it was not the choice.

To be fair I'm really surprised with PS4 because the amount of games/genres it have is so little time in the market.
