How things have changed in just 1 year. At this time last year everyone on this site was bashing the PS3 (I seem to recall a lot of predictions for failure) and there were very few PS3 owners here. Now if only more mods weren't just Nintendo fanboys =)

I wouldn't read too much into Times. If I remember correctly, they also named 3D0 "Product of the year". Only has it sold 2 million copies before completely dying out.

Honestly, they probably knows less than Craazy here.

Heh, could be, but I'm talking more about all the positive press lately, not just from the NYT.  EGM had a cover story about this being PS3's year.  Most of the press is realizing that things are turning around.

This isn't an article about the PS3 vs. the 360, it's an article about the PS3 vs. the rest of the Blu-ray players. It's hard to argue it's not the best Blu-ray player. They're saying something more like "Oh yeah, it can also play games", there's no comparison of the gaming to any other console.

And your point?  The title of my thread reads "New York Times advocates buying ps3..." not "New York Times advocates buying ps3 over 360..."
