ou're clearly refering to the xbox one there, but even then, who is to say microsoft wont release a slimline console new games and a price that turns things around even in japan?

We are to say that. We are also to say that it's unlikely the Vita or 3DS will be getting any high-profile shooters. Probability being what it is, it's "possible" either of these things can happen. It's also "possible" that my 3DS will phase through the table it's on, or spontaneously explode, or transform into solid gold. I don't have to respect such possibilities.

But as always the true loser here is the console nobody even bothers to mention.

Yeah, could be. LT looks like it could hit 400K, what's likely to top that in the shooter category in Japan? I guess with PS4 still at the early stages of the generation and CoD and BF both doing well over 100K it's possible that when the PS4 install base hits 5 million then CoD or BF could manage 500K+.

I don't know why Destiny is classed as an action game when more or less the only action is shooting, but with the first outing of that game getting close to 150K if Destiny manages to become a huge global brand it has a chance of capturing the Japanese shooter fans attention. PS4 install base in Japan is unlikely to be big enough for 500K+ shooter sales until at least Destiny 3 or CoD 2019 version or BF7.

So far yes. I am still very curious to see how uncharted 4 and BO3 gonna sell on the ps4.

Uncharted is a shooter because it has weapons? I mean, is half shooter but I think is more an action/adventure.

Well its a TPS as far as I am aware and when I played online matches, the primary objective is to shoot one another.  But I dont know the real classification though.

Oh yeah, online multiplayer is a huge part of the game, I usually forget about it but you are right.

I still don´t think "shooter" is the right genre to define Uncharted, I played Tomb Raider and I don´t think of it as a shooter, but dunno.
