It can be fake images but looks like a big E3 reveal for Destiny 2.0.

It is not the opposite? They said Destiny was profiable after day one sales.
The game is yet in TOP10 in UK chartz and have over 20 million registered players.
Activision always works with these type of deals (Montain Drew, Doritos, etc).

I'd be interested to see how many of those are still active...

I think most of these are active users (play the game at least once per week)... my friend list have over 200 like these.
BTW when you are in the world you can see a lot of lvl 3, 4, 5, etc.. there is a lot of newcomers (that explain why it is in TOP10 sales in UK for example)... in the last three months Destiny had 4 million new registered players (Feb-Apr).

Everyone I know who got it hasnt touched Destiny for at least 3 months, I never picked it up after trying the beta, glad I did really. Hopefully Destiny 2 will be what 1 should have been. I find it hard to play games that just require you to grind with little story, possibly why im loving Witcher 3.

Despite the fact that there are lots of Destiny "haters" out there that were let down, it is a hugely successful game with a massive player base that's continued to grow. And if you're still doubting, Bungie just announced a few days ago that Activision brought in another one of their studios (High Moon) to produce Destiny content.
