I've gotten everything except for the Flappy Goat and the 2 collectible trophy achievements I think. I'll get them soon. I'd say I've gotten at least 5 hours of fun out of it so far, not bad since I paid $7 for it.

5 hours for 1000G?! :O
Does anyone feel like the value of achievements has gone down? Like after they allowed indie games to be 1000G, I feel like there's no point in spending 30-40 hours getting all the achievements in retail games. And the achievements in the big AAA games are usually the hardest.

Kind of, some of the bigger indie games do deserve the full 1k but a lot seem to be way too easy. Although when achievements first started for AAA games there were quite a few early releases that had easy achievements before developers really got in to making them, so hopefully we are seeing the same here and after a period of adjustment the achievements in indie games will be more comparable to those in AAA ones.

Yeah I hope so. Personally I was happy with arcade and indie games having 400G and other games having 1000G. I thought that was more fair.

Even MS is loading games with achievements now. The MCC had 5000G and Rare replay has 10,000. Last gen, the Orange Box had 4  games but only 1000G.

I feel like games this gen are alot more bugged than last. Kinda feels like the Xbox OG era.

Yeah they are. I guess that's another reason why buying a game at launch is a bad idea.

I disagree with the value of achievements going down coz of "indie" games having 1000G, I cant speak for every smaller game on the xbox marketplace but some of these games really make you work for your 1000G. But then there are some that take the piss, but the same could be said for a few retail games out there aswelll.

That's the problem. Only some of them do whilst most are quite easy.

Yeah but it doesn't give achievements for games you've already earned them on on the 360 though so take them out and the total amount will drop quite a bit. Looking at it on achievement sites I can only see the old games with achievements for a total of 2780, so while still more than is normal it's not quite 10k.

And yeah I too preferred when indies/arcade games only had 400g, but I will say when they have 1k GS on Xbox but no platinum on PS then it's the Microsoft store that will be getting my money so...

Are you sure about that? Is that a rule specific to Rare replay? Because I played Child of Light on the 360 and Xbox One, and it counted both as different games.

It's just for Rare Replay. Some of the games in Rare Replay are the 360 versions running through 360 backwards compatibility, which is why those achievements are shared with 360.

Wow, I had no idea. I guess that's fair.

The easy or hard 1k GS is a bit all over sometimes. There were 200/400 GS games requiring 40+ hours way more than some retail games also these days most retails games end up with 1500-2000 GS with DLC added.

As much as I like completing games if its an amazing game I love i'll try get they 80%+ or 100% completion on them, Sometimes the easy 1k indie games are good as well since you can buy complete the many story and have 700/1000 then think well this is an OK game but once your through the main game you don't want to spend another 40 hours grinding out some achievements as it only gave you 100/1000 GS.

Personally I've always hated seeing online achievements for games that are all bout the single player.
