Absolute poor display from England, defence was too easily penetrated, gave too many penalties away (again) and was turned over too many times, never looked dangerous the whole game, did the pressure get to them? Who knows all that matters is that end result and England got dominated.

I agree, they were outplayed in every aspect. The better team won today.

Hey at least your next opponents are a joke of a side. Yeah our next game is gonna be a good one! But hey, no pressure at least :)

Tonga haha yeah too easy. All Blacks best game was the first round against Argentina, since then pool C has been a borefest aside from Georgias first WC win.

Ha so apparently that's just lost rugby half a billion in revenue England going out in the pool stages.

I got a question,

What's the difference between a teabag and England?

A teabag stays longer in a cup.

:p I'm loving this I'm sorry.

The presenters were talking about it at the end, I didn't realise myself but it was called the half a billion game. With host going out its estimated to be half a billion that rugby will lose in revenues, tbh I don't know how it all works I'm not sure. But nevermind that.

ill be supporting the springboks now, got a bit of a soft spot for them. I also like New Zwealnd all blacks (being as I have family there) but it'll be the Springboks I'm hoping win the tourney now.

I actually have no idea what you're talking about lol i read your post three times and it still doesn't make sense. I take it you don't understand Rugby?

I knew that there are 15 players per team and that there are no forward passes allowed. It was easy to figure that the ball has to be carried into the endzone.

As for my points, you know how there are formations in football? Aside from the obvious position of goalkeeper, teams play in formations like 4-2-3-1, so four defenders, two defensive midfielders, three offensive midfielders and one striker. For the rugby game yesterday, they showed the formation I posted previously. But the catch was that there is no such thing as a formation in rugby, because the 15 guys line up across the field and that's it. Since the game is played that way, why didn't they just list the 15 players like they did with the eight substitutes? A basic list from top to bottom instead of a fancy formation that does not exist in the game.

The other thing were those huge piles that are done for I don't know what reason. About a dozen of players of each team embrace each other and then one of the remaining players rolls the ball under those guys, somebody picks up the ball and throws it to a bystander before the game continues normally.

And if you still don't understand what I am talking about, then you don't understand rugby.

What point are you trying to make? That something you don't like in a sport isn't to your preference?

As for formations, the distinctions between the positions(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rugby_union_positions) you will find that they are much more defined than you might think.

There are definitely formations. Its more obvious to see in the attacking team as the defending team will use a flat defense line with 3 players hanging back for that secondary defense like to catch kicks and tackle someone who has made a line break. And every position in rugby has a role. Some more important than others, your number 9 (halfback) always collects the ball from the ruck. Your number 10 is your kicker. Number 2 throws ball into lineout. 15 is probably like a goaly in Football. He is the last line of defence and catches alot of kicks plus counter attack. Every position is very specialised every player knows there role

Terrific win for the Wallabies! Dat Foley.

It was good to see another win for Japan, pity it won't be enough for quarter-finals. Even if they had got a BP today, it wouldn't be enough as they would tie with Scotland. Now they can only hope for Samoa to win that last game.

At least if they make third they auto qualify which is important seen as the next world cup is in Japan
