i want to know if the 360 price drop has happened in good old down under thanks and if so whe ndoes it take affect/effect(who knows LOL)

Not that I know of but there are some good deals around say at: Myer they have a 20Gb Premium Xbox 360 with 5 games for $600 AU. The consoles should be adjusted taking into account the depreciating value of currency exchange rates where the US dollar is now basically equal to the Australian dollar.
1 US dollar = $1.10 AU

Seen the Arcade bundle for $339 (some thread on VG had this) - but hoping its not the price drop.

The Arcade box *could* drop to as little as $249AU... now THAT would rock :)
(PS2 bundles are only $20-$30 less...)
