Forums - Sony - Looking To Buy A PS3 In Australia

So...

I'm an Australian looking to buy a PS3 in Australia. However I can only seem to find the 40 GB model in stores and I have a large enough PS2 library to need full compatibility. So I want a model which has full backwards compatibility. Anybody got any ideas?

you can try second hand PS3, perhaps you'll be lucky enough to find.
try cash converters or some decent pawn shops, or ebay the thing, or you could just wait and see what sony does, cuz it looks like europe is getting the 80GB PS3 bundled with MGS4, and were classified as europ so here's hoping.

Anyways, I think that soon enough Sony will releas a firmware update that will make all PS3 backwards compatable via pure software emulation.

You can get a second hand 60GB PS3 at EB games or Game Traders for around $800. Providing they have some in stock or you could try reserving one if they get one in.
Maybe try Ebay or your local newspaper. I am sure you could find one somewhere if you look hard enough.

Rock

you sure you can get them from EB second hand?
Cause last time i asked they said they didn't sell them at all.

Im gonna be an asshole ive got a 60gb xD

OT:
Try cashies they might have one, i seen one ages ago that was in there and in good condiction :)

White Devil you could get $2000 AU for your 60GB PS3 if you sold it on EBay. Lets consider its no longer produced and people demand it well they can pay more.
