In the blue corner representing Japan in video game consoles we have the all conquering Sony and Nintendo. Sony has sold over 230 million consoles in 13 years with PSX,PS2 and PS3 combined. Nintendo has sold over 180 million consoles worldwide in 25 years with NES,SNES,N64, GameCube and Nintendo Wii combined.

In the red corner representing the gold old USA we have Microsoft who have sold over 40 million consoles in 7 years with the XBox and XBox 360 combined. But is it time for Apple to bring a console to the video game market so we have two companies representing the USA?

So Japanese consoles have sold more than USA by 10 times. Japanese console makers have combined industry experience of 38 years compared to USA's seven years

What if EA and Apple both made a console. Man that would be crazy...a five console race...developers would shit a brick.

 You're forgetting about Atari, Sega and many moore. You have to include them if you're going to compare the combined industry experience between Japan and USA.

Does the PC count in this or only consoles? I'm pretty sure PC counts as America if it counts at all. Also Atari, 3DO I guess. SEGA counts for Japan. Neo Geo counts for Japan.

If Apple produces a console the must just please not rush the design and create a unreliable console like Microsoft!
