Forums - Gaming Discussion - I found the Xbox version of Splatoon.( Color Wars)

I am pretty sure that there's at least one other game like this out there, or it was at least planned, because unless I dreamed it, I saw coverage/commercials of that game in the early 2000 I think.

It was about covering a city in paint as fast as possible. Not sure if it had a multiplayer or not. I also don't know what system/s it came out for. But when Splatoon was revealed I remember thinking, 'Oh, so it's like that game from way back then!'

Oh a game where you throw ink. It´s exactly the same as Splatoon, the faster and hidden move with the squid form into the ink, the roller, the charger, the paintbrush, the 4vs4 teambase matches, the platformer elements, the gear, the aesthetics, everything, it´s a clone

Not to mention the fact that the inklings get hurt (and even killed) when covered in the other teams ink. That doesn't seem to be the case in CW.

The goal of that game was to cover the walls in your team's color of paint? Seems pretty weird for Paintball.

No, but neither is Splatoons. It's just a multiplayer mode, lol (and not the only one).

Well that multiplayer mode seems pretty inspired by this indie game.

Could be, but it certainly doesn't make it the Xbox version of Splatoon.
