This game sounds annoying as fuck, every second a loud bullet sound going off.

I've been playing Verdun in beta for quite some time...really enjoy it, actually. Though, I haven't fired it up in awhile, so I haven't seen the changes they've made in the past month or so. It's a pretty cool game, though.
EDIT: I should mention, that I thoroughly enjoy historical war games, the guns, the environments etc...
I remember playing when it was in beta. No where near as good as any other shooters out their ( Unless it has changed a lot since the beta )
It's officially released, today. I've heard there was some changes but i haven't played the beta, and i am downloading it right now, so i wouldn't know either way, so maybe :P

After a service in the Navy for 4 years, i can fairly say that it's not any less annoying in real life either. Explosions are definetly the worst.

We definitely need more shooters focused on single player campaigns and not set in modern days.

As far as I saw in the Beta, yeah it's MP only. I thought it was a good time though, the period weapons/locales are quite fun. But yeah, the lack of a SP campaign is unfortunate. Could've been a very dark and dreary campaign.
Pfft, the only thing that would moderately interest me is a SP campaign centred around some of the great battles of WWI.
FPS moving more and more towards MP only may well spell the downfall of FPS as a dominating genre. Bring it on I say. The less FPS the better as far as I'm concerned.
