I think you're misunderstanding what I'm saying. The Batman games are supposed to feel like each other. The AssCreed, COD, and Dead Rising games are supposed to feel like each other within their respective franchises. The problem arises when Batman, LotR, and Mad Max all feel the same. When AssCreed, Far Cry, and Watch_Dogs all feel like each other across multiple franchises. Like I don't feel like any Capcom game feels like other ones.
It's just so annoying. There's literally no reason that Mad Max's combat should be like that other than the fact that WB owns the engine. Now it makes sense why the Batmobile is finally debuting now. I'd bet money that the Batmobile and Max's vehicles control exactly the same and use the exact same mechanics. So lazy.
Not on the devs, but on the publishers.

I get what you're saying, the way I mean it, it just gets boring after a while when a game is still using the same mechanics, the same way other games borrow mechanics from others like we're seeing with MM, combine those two aspects together and it feels monotonous.
I totally agree with you though, having AK combat in MM a new IP is pretty damn annoying since it just shows the game can't stand up itself without having other existing IP's patched into it.
When I first saw shots of the MM game I at first thought it was gonna be like RAGE, I quite liked that game but the FPS drop and pop in really made it a chore to play at times, combat was satisfying though, especialy with them wingsticks.
Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.
