So, this thread started on Gaf a couple weeks back about the uncanny resemblance between the Italian Head Transplant Doctor who will soon be performing a Head/Body transplant.

Gaf, of course, blew up and created a whole conspiracy about the whole thing. Here is some of the 'revealing' information:

The procedure for the head transplant is codenamed "Heaven". Outer Heaven in MGS refers to a dream where soldiers can live indepently from government organizations. Outer Heaven was involved in cloning and human bio-engineering.

The person who in real life is getting the transplant is a CG artist, 3d modeler, and game development supervisor.

Snake's picture on the cover resembles a familiar cyborg. Possible head transplant in MGSV?

This was the teaser for MGS5 two years ago.

Canavaro released a protocol for Spinal Cord Fusions which is named Gemini. He announced Gemini 2 days after MGS5 was revealed.

Sergio Canavaro is part of an independant TED talk name Ted-Limassol. This anagrams to "solid metals"

This is either a brilliant collaboration or there's a law suit on it's way. Either way, Kojima and his team are probably very knowledgeable about recent scientific discoveries, and are likely in some form of contact with the community. The sudeo-science in MGS is often based actual theories after all.
