Forums - Gaming - So with Bloodborne being a commercial and critical success, Sony and From must be in talks for the next project, what should it be?

I hope for Bloodborne2 !!!

I'd be surprised if their next project wasn't multiplatform again.

i am not sure, SonyJapan probbably gave a lot of help there too. It sure would lack the same quality like bloodborne unless a third party is really paying them enough money or giving manpower

Riiiiight. The same way Dark Souls lacked the same quality of Demon's Souls. Sony helped because they wanted the exclusive, not because From couldn't make a better game without them.

nanco own dark souls ip they helped developt that shit. and demons souls didnt have that much help or budget from sony

Obviously not Bloodborne, but Sony has no say in whether From makes another multiplatform Souls-like game. There's no mistake for them to make, because it's From's call, not Sony's.

Right. From developed a multiplat game without needing Sony before. Nothing stopping them from doing the same thing again.

Exactly, but Sony will definitely get another exclusive game from From again, and the chances of it being from Team A is highly likely. The B Team that made Dark Souls 2 is probably making Dark Souls 3, or another Souls game trying to copy Bloodborne. (faster gameplay)

I highly doubt Miyazaki will never head another multiplat game again. The "A" team won't be stuck making exclusives forever. I don't doubt there will be more Sony exclusives, but I doubt the Miyazaki's next game will be one.

Has nothing to do with quality.  The circumstances of Demon Souls distribution worldwide, are what ended up causing From to go multiplat.  The circumstances are quite different now.  This doesn't mean From Software won't release another multi-plat title, but it won't be in the Bloodborne franchise.

Dark Souls isn't in the Demon's Souls franchise, so I don't see what difference that makes.

Because Sony owned the name Demon Souls, but neglected to publish to EU and US territories.  Atlus picked it up, and then worked w/ From to make Dark Souls as a multiplat.  Sony distributed worldwide, so the circumstances which allowed Dark Souls to be made, don't exist this gen.

I don't see how that changes anything. None of that stops From from making another multiplat franchise. All it takes is another publisher.

You're concentrating too much on speculating Miyazaki's platform choices. I don't think it matters to him if his games are exclusive or multiplat, as long as he gets to make whatever he wants. Sony will give them the budget and accomodate his needs.

It's not like Miyazaki is sitting there, waiting to make another multiplatform game again, as if the quality of his game is gonna increase by going multiplat lol.
