Same here, plus it keeps all my games nice and scratch free in their cases :).  Also, modded xbox is the best thing ever...after someone stole my n64 i didnt think I'd ever get to play Mario Kart 64 again...now I can heh.

I don't own either, modded or not.

I modded my PSone back in the day and it worked great until I realized that I could not play multi-disc games. You would get to the change disc screen and then open the lid and that damn disc would just keep spinning.

On another note, I bought a GBA Dev-kit. The EZ-Flash III 8Gb. I have every great GBA game plus a whole collection of NES games all on one cart.

Wow, you modded your PS2 and you bought pirated games? Are you one of those people that buy wholesale lists and pay for coupons too?  I'm sure the next thread you make will be about the timeshare you bought.

And for the record, I love these kind of threads because it makes it easy to list out the people I hate.

I softmodded my Xbox also. Older systems emulation was pretty solid and the power of XBMC should not be understated. My old crappy 17" CRT monitor sucked so watching TV shows/movies on the TV by streaming was pretty sweet.

I have a HDloader for my PS2, I got it just to do trial and test on my PES5 patches... and have back ups for my games...

My dad insisted that my PS2 should be modded but I knew that copied game discs are of poor quality and usually stop working after a short while.

I told him of my fear with quality problems but no, he insisted on modding.

Well my PS2 that I owned at that point was apparently too old a model to be modded so my dad had to get me a new PS2. Then he had to get it modded and the price to get it modded was at around half the price of the PS2 itself.

Then I bought three copied games from the guy who modded my new PS2 and as I predicted, two weeks later one of my games stopped working. The reflective layer started to become discolored.

So with this ammunition I put my foot down and I told my dad that from then on he will buy me official games no matter what the price, and so it was.

Two years after that my modded PS2 broke and now I have a beautiful unmodded slim PS2 with 20 official games. Unfortunately I was only able to get the official version of one of the copied games I had, so two games I enjoyed are now lost to me forever Fortunately the game whose official version I was able to obtain is one of my most favourite games

I will also never have one of my consoles modded again.
