What an amazing weekend in the FA Cup, both powerful English Premier league soccer clubs Man United and Chelsea out of FA cup in upsets. The huge shock was Chelsea losing one nil to struggling English Second Division club, Barnsley who are 19th in the Coca Cola Championship.  Manchester United went down to  fellow English Premier league side Portsmouth losing one nil at Old Trafford. Both Manchester United and Chelsea are into quarter finals of European champions League and they currently sit 2nd and 3rd place in the English Premier League.

Three teams out of the four semifinalists of FA Cup are Second division clubs: West Bromwich, Cardiff City, Barnsley. The only English Premier League side remaining is Portsmouth.

 FA Cup Semi finals are: West Bromwich V's Portsmouth   and    Cardiff City V's Barnsley

Noone cares for soccer in the USA I assume. Well every dog has its day.
BTW West Bromwich last won the FA Cup in 1968 defeating Everton one nil. Barnsley last made the FA Cup Semi-Finals in 1912 (The year the Titanic sank) and Barnsley went on to the FA Cup that year. Portsmouth last won the FA Cup in the 1930's defeating Wolverhampton Wanderers in the FA Cup Final.

I think it great when the top clubs go out to teams in the lower leagues, My team have done it to Liverpool (last minute of extra time) and Spurs recently and I will be at Wembley in 3 weeks to see them play in the real cup final. (Johnsons Paint)
