Forums - Sony - 180,000 for BloodBorne first week in Japan was imposible?

If BloodBorne shipped +200,000, do you think that +180,000 was possible?

Yes. 76 73.08%

nope. 28 26.92%

Total:104

Retail didn't asked enough... that is why.

Yeap... you can be sure it could be sold more if shipped.

None of that answered the question though. Does anyone know how games sell digitally in Japan?

Pretty sure they sell digital games through the Japanese Playstation Store.

Glad I could help :)

Oh well, expected.

This was February's best-selling games in Japan (including digital) according to Famitsu. It looks like PS4 digital sales account for about 10-20% of total sales in Japan. So while Bloodborne might not have reached 180k with digital, it's probably very close.

There aren't disclosed numbers about digital sales for any platform if that's what you're asking. Not for console nor for PC/Steam. Then it depends on the game, smaller it is higher the chances it gets downloaded, I suppose.
