You can always turn off items and such.

And I wouldn't say that Nintendo doesn't have skillgames. Other games like Smash is already an eSport... :/

Maybe not all games require skill as in the sense of eSports, but Nintendo games do require a different type of skill, such as strategy.
I understand your mindset of Nintendo as a family/kid friendly company but that does not imply exclusivity. Many non-kid gamers play on Nintendo consoles as well.
