There's nothing wrong in using Miriel, I just found her character very bland but mainly due to the fact that I had unlucky stat level ups, so that is why I chose not to use her.

Hearing Miriel as bland is just shocking to me. I found her to be such a great character. Then again, most of the characters in Awakening are so good..! TwT

I'd question your last sentence... some characters are interesting but most aren't... but enough thread derailing by me! :)

Yeah, maybe we shouldn`t carry this too long. I could talk about Awakening all day if I could : )

I've only played one game with this style of options, and that's Divinity: Original Sin.

I'm a bowsman and my friend's a mage. We're a solid team.

Now that`s a game I`ve never heard of before. It looks like a RTS game too.

A bow/mage combo sounds coo. Strike your opponents from afar xD

Considering how powerful most enemies' close-up attacks are, we have no other choice. We tried about 4 different combinations for the game with 4-5 hours of playtime each before finally settling. Game is brutal. XD

I usually like to stick to swordplay so I like classes like Myrmidion and Mercenary, but I've always been bad at decisions so I just try out everything. I usually end up going back to swords though since their quick and many characters that use them have decent stats unless I can be a class with multiple abilities like tactician in Fire Emblem Awakening.

Yeeeah, nice to see someone else show appreciation to the sword guys ; ) I like Mercenaries too, but I tend to use the myrmidons too. They seem cooler than mercenaries, but they`re a 2nd for me. I tend to use characters I like or think are cool, so I make them all work out some how. Of course I use a lot of myrmidon/swordmasters too.

The mage. It gives you a big variety of attacks and other spells such as healing yourself or boosting stats, which gives you the chance to be prepared for every situation.

O: which mages can do that? Most I know can`t heal...

Swordmage. Not the most common class, but having both swords and magic is fun, especially when you blend them. Slicing through the enemy like butter with a flaming sword, then freezing their soul with an icy stab, cutting through time and/or space itself, being at one with your blade so you can summon it on a whim, that kind of stuff.

Woah, now that`s a class I am not familar with... which game has that class??? It sounds really cool! : D
