There is a lot to process today with nintendo going mobile, the new console, the Partnership, and so on.  I know most people are still going through their initial reactions, but I have a speculation.. 

 

Does NX stand for nintendo cross, or nintendo crossover?  this would be the same as the fusion, but a crossover between a console and a handheld... they have talked about trying to integrate between the platforms before... and their first cross buy game just came out...

it could also refer to a crossover between mobile market and dedicated gaming market?

It the NX means a shared architecture between all of Nintendo's hardware, it would be great. But for now, they are just letters. The fact that we're looking for any clue to reach the fusion conclusion it's a sign that people really want this idea to happen.

I think it means Nintendo is going to make next gen their version of Bizarro World. Everything will be a crossover.

Super Zelda Galaxy, The Legend of Peach, Smash Kart, Xeno-mon, Project Giant Robot--it's going to be crazy.

I definitely agree that everyone wants it to happen...   but I do think speculating on the code name is fun!

I kinda wanted to think Nintendo Next but the fusion thing makes more sense. I'm super excited to see what they're planning for it.
