Not to be that guy (I love being that guy though) but this is talk about his love for the PS4 and only the PS4, it;s a bit ironic how he's a Japanese dev praising a Japanese company's Japanese console that just so happens to be selling more than an American console and another Japanese console that has hardly had much Final Fantasy love like Sony has since 2 decades ago, he goes and spews something like this:
"I really feel that this challenge to create something that could not be done on any platform other than PS4 can only happen with the latest cutting edge consoles of the current generation.”
That right there tells me that he apparently thinks and truly believes (within the realms of grounded reality and hardware science) that there's no challenge to create something on anything else but on the PS4 and then goes to add "latest cutting edge consoles of the current generation" yet he's referring to the other 2 surely if he meant mentioning multiple consoles?, but why would he do that if he's talking just about the PS4, the games he's making just being on the PS4.
Sure there's been releases on the PC recently but according to many consoles gamers and probably the director PC gaming is dying and apparently makes next to no revenue despite the numbers and general flux that platform has given.
Of course it would be strange if he didn't release XV on PC after releasing the previous numbered titles but who is going to make sure that doesn't happen?, it's going to be a combo between him and Sony because it's obvious in the writing, of course that would piss off the fans of FF that hope to have future FF games on PC but who cares about them right?, just give them 2-3 year old ported scraps, Rockstar's already setting that beautiful trend anyway, may as well get everyone behind that.
Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.
