It launched in March 2011, so you're ignoring 10 months of sales.

2. The data is there to show that 2015 has been the best Jan/Feb the 3DS has ever had, it's missing way more than 10 months.

3. what would you even apply those 10 months of sales to? The 3DS wasn't out in Jan/Feb of 2011..

4. It's only fuel for the console wars because people are turning it into that. It wasn't the point of the thread.

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

Doesn't change the fact that the 3DS is in its fifth year.

Would this thread have been made if the 3DS outsold the PS4? I personally don't think so.

I've never seen anyone claim that the 3DS would outsell the PS4 this year, so this thread seems very redundant to me.

But it does invalidate the point people were trying to make by saying it was in it's 5th year.

Yeah, it probably would have, though probably not by the same person.

Smartphones in 2012 still had a long way to go. They are a true goliath now and now dominate japan.  Only a matter of time before software starts swapping over.

This thread was set up to compare good 2015 sales of one console to excellent sales of another.  I don't want to talk about future doom but you guys are giving me no choice.  


Your spinning hard, we were talking about japan a second ago, now its back to WW. I know it declined WW you dont need to argue something we agree on.

You cant just switch the conversation after i just proved everything is ok in japan :-/


Everything is okay in japan now.  I actually think that.  

The problem is the WW numbers depend on japan so much.  I forecast a decline next gen in japan which would not be good for the WW numbers especally if elsewhere declines.  

And you know why this thread was made after npd ? Because this npd included a major new 3DS model.  If I wanted to rub it in i would have made it after January npd.  There is nothing wrong with my thread.  The reactions are unbelievable.

If 3ds was outselling ps4 in the US this year someone else definitely would and you'd not be complaining.  Same for a lot of people. There's nothing wrong with my thread.  We are on a sales site.

Some may, some may not. For me, I am quite happy Nintendo won. A legendary classic and the N3DS further aided the victory.

The 3DS did outsell the PS4 in February. Only one thread was made and only in response to this thread (by a non-Nintendo fan no less).

People are complaining because this thread holds little purpose. Everyone knows PS4 will sell more than a handheld entering its fifth year.

3DS outselling the PS4 is news worthy because it rarely happens. The other way around isn't news worthy at all.
