The one thing I'm nervous about is that there won't be much customization. only 12 weapons in 40 hours? One thing I loved about souls was that I never ran into the same character.

Isn't weapon customization a new feature in Bloodborne. Would definitely explain the lack of base weapons.

What do you mean? There were tons of different ways to upgrade weapons in demon's souls and dark souls. If there is 10 times more customization than that, to the point were I just turn it into a different weapon, awesome. But I doubt that. So far, the only thing I'm concerned about is weapon quanity. Dark souls 2 had over 200 weapons excluding shields. There were oveer a 100 in Demon's souls. I don't need that many because these ones are more intricately designed, but I want at least 30, which really isn't asking for that much. I'm not saying this game can't be fantastic without a ton of weapons, but it was really fine how much you could customize your build, and I really hope I can do that in this game.

This isn't a Souls game though. It's a new IP and plays differently.

That's 40 hours and still not complete. We also don't know how thoroughly they've been playing it but we do know they haven't played the Chalice dungeon. And what would be a good way of getting people to go online? By making some of those 'rewards' they spoke about, actual weapons.

I'm aware of this, but based on the length of my first playthrough of every souls game, I'd assume they're at least 2/3 of the way done, and I would be surprise if the game just randomly gives  you a ton of weapons in the last third.

The creators call it a spiritual successor. It's a souls game at heart, just not by name. It's the biggest change so far, but it still has similar playstyle based on what I've seen.

Really? Ok, best of look approaching this like a Souls game.

Just found out something about this game and I'm pretty happy because I already KNEW it was there and I've been trying to convince my son of it for a very long time. It's actually already been shown but it was only a brief moment in one of the videos. It's quite obvious once you see it. There are no spoiler tags on here so I can't really post it.

***** **** Confirmed.

And this:

Last few things I want to clarify. People were worried that there might be a graphics downgrade. I played the alpha and now the real thing, and I can tell you that the game looks even better. In the alpha I noticed that there were some unifnished rendering on character clothing and some environmental things, but now I'm looking at the clothing textures and also the environment and 80% of my time spent in Bloodborne as of now is just looking around to all the attention to detail. It's a beautiful looking game with sublime music. You guys are in for a treat considering that day 1 is gonna improve performance as well.
Frame rate wise, its been a solid 30fps so far and I'm already used to the control and love the speed of the game. everything you do, and what the enemies do is just atleast 2-3 times faster than the previous entries.

Boycotting based on the lack of accessible difficulty options for a wider audience. Enjoy your frustrating grind.

To those people I say, get better at games.

That looks insanely hard.

You know, the guys complaining, why don't you give the game a go? Just don't hush and be at a slower pace. I'm pretty sure you all would be able to beat the game eventually!

Quoting you, but this post is not just for you but for all the other fans of the game.

You can all read my previous comments about difficulty, but since I am so very intrigued by the game, I've decided to give it a try. While I still might give up quickly, it would be a shame to skip it altogether.

So, two friends of mine who are getting the digital copy will let me latch onto it and let me be the guest for free. I have about 7-10 days before I start MLB and Borderlands to try it out.

If I quit, at least I tried. And if I end up liking it (which I honestly hope I will), I'll just buy myself a copy. A win-win solution (unless I break my controller, that is )
