Some of you complaining about it being too hard must be too young to remember gen 3 and 4. Game over? Ok beat the whole game again enjoy!

I.am actually too old to remeber those gens, as my hobbies back than were much different and I took up gaming in my older years in gen7, when the games started catering more to my interests.

I know I would hate to play games like that, I find no enjoyment in constant failure.

I still hope an easy option will come down the line in a patch, once all fans have had their fun, so that my easy walkthrough doesn't impact their enjoyment.

Easy mode is getting a walkthrough and following the instructions. The fact is these games have never been hard in the usual sense. They are simply unforgiving. If you think you can go into a fight with a bunch of minions without tactical smarts, then you will die a lot. But if you are tactically sensible then you will get through without dying any more than you would expect. These games are not designed to be inaccessible to people of modest skill, they are designed to be inaccessible to reckless, gung-ho blowhards that don't know how to adapt. That's why these games don't need an easy mode, the easy mode is you and how you approach the game. That's why sped runs of all the Souls games are about 1 hour.

Quoting you, but this post is not just for you but for all the other fans of the game.

You can all read my previous comments about difficulty, but since I am so very intrigued by the game, I've decided to give it a try. While I still might give up quickly, it would be a shame to skip it altogether.

So, two friends of mine who are getting the digital copy will let me latch onto it and let me be the guest for free. I have about 7-10 days before I start MLB and Borderlands to try it out.

If I quit, at least I tried. And if I end up liking it (which I honestly hope I will), I'll just buy myself a copy. A win-win solution (unless I break my controller, that is )

Yay! Just try to enjoy it as much as you can. :)

the feedback so far on this game is amazing. We are 10 days away from the release of the 1st masterpiece of GEN 8.

add me, the more the merrier.

This is a game that caters to less than 10% of the PS4's userbase. This at a time when exclusives and great games are no where on the horizon. Don't you think people have a right to be pissed?

And Witcher 3 is just as unforgiving and inaccessible. It's a bad year for a PS4 owner.

I watched my girlfriend get murdered in Dark Souls today by the starting ghoulies after she had dispatched the armored bored, the two gargoyle bosses and a titanite demon. Why did that happen? Because she got greedy and forgot that getting hit from five directions at once makes it kinda hard to defend, no matter how weak the enemies.

I don't understand how people can say the Souls games are hard. I find Super Mario World to be a harder game honestly, not to mention a lot of others. All you need to survive any game in the series is a bit of patience and planning. Don't rush, don't attack blindly, learn from EVERY single mistake and you'll get through the whole thing without breaking a sweat.

The Order: 1886 is a good game, but not for everyone. Same with Final Fantasy Type-O HD and Battlefield: Hardline, they are not going to appeal to everyone on PS4. See what I mean? Every game appeals to different groups, doesn't mean they should piss off someone who isn't interested. Also, PS4 has by far the best lineup of any console so far in 2015.

lol.

Dont worry about the people who are not good at games. They will get Madden and CoD and they will be happy. Let the multiplats handle the casuals, I prefer exclusives to be targeted at the core.

MS targets its core by getting TF exclusive and with Halo(and are trying to expand by getting TR and getting marketing deals/ bundles for AC). Sony targets its core with adventure games and rpgs. If you are and FPS 1st gamer get a XB1, if you like most other genres get a PS. If you like Nintendo games, get a WiiU.

If you are a casual get whatever console your friends have. Its not like the casuals play enough that the abundance of very good multiplat games would not suffice.

Witcher is as simple as can be, it's basically a Telltale game with one dimensional, repetitive combat. a RPG for people that don't like RPGs. So I think your assessment is incorrect.

That looks insanely hard.

not really just take a step and go back where you came from, the traps are also probably killing the monsters
