When Amazon originally launch the concept was they would sell product for other retailers in a consolidated location. So if you own a store and want to be able to sell something online you could post it on Amazon and they would sell it and take a cut. When Amazon began to boom they began stocking their own product (this is obviously more profitable because they keep the whole profit instead of just a cut).

That is why you can find great deals on Amazon, many times retailers use it to get rid of stock. What I think we are seeing is retailers trying to clear out the ACU bundle using Amazon.

Amazon has it in stock as the link showed you. Amazon advertises the cheaper prices first if you're a partnered 3rd pary seller.

did not know that. I assumed they always posted their price. Either way its clear people are trying to clear their stock (its just taking them a long time to do so.)  UBI made out like bandits with this bundle (I highly doupt they just gave the game free to MS)

I did not realize they post 3rd party sellers(above their own) if their price is lower so it is good to double check. Either way everything else I said is correct.

Yes it's always been that way. Even if the price difference is $1 Amazon will show that cheaper price over theirs. It has happened a couple times with PS4 actually. Since everyone is trying to get rid of the ACU bundle you're not going to see it sold by Amazon on the main page for awhile.

This is another thing....that seller is not fulfilled by Amazon yet they're showing them. I guess there's other things they take into consideration when choosing who to advertise. You probably have to pay them a fee to be shown on the main page, and an extra fee to be fulfilled. Also did it just change? That was fast.
