XB1 Halo MCC bundle is now #152. Maybe it'll take a while for it to get into the Top 20, but it is climbing up the rankings way slower than I anticipated. When Microsoft announced the Sunset, AC, and COD bundles in October, those bundles shot up the charts. In contrast, the MCC bundle is taking quite a long time...

might be the fact it is bundled with a 6 month old game that can be found used for like 30 bucks.

MS should bundle it with one of the new games instead of MCC, any suggestions?

I don't think it's 'doom' for the XB1 but are we witnessing the first signs of a huge decline in interest?

we will have to see how NPD goes before even starting to claim that. it had a solid Feb and we will have to see how march goes. there is battlefield this month, MKX in april, Witcher in May and Batman in June. there is a steady and solid set of releases for it in the coming months. while i dont see it beating the PS4 in any, (without another price cut). i can see it doing better than last year and holding a more steady pace.

That's because all those games were not yet released, and SO was actually all about the white console not the game, as much as it saddens me to admit it. MCC has already sold to over 1 million people, and is probably not far off dropping away to just a trickle of sales per week. If you were a true Halo fan and you wanted MCC and you hadn't already bought a Xb one before MCC came out, you would have bought it some time during the holidays last year.

Bundling MCC now is rather pointless as a way to improve sales. There isn;t a significant market for these games. All the Halo fans who haven't bought MCC either have a Xb one already or they are waiting for the actual new Halo game until they buy Halo 5, because they've played the hell out of all the other Halo games, and are probably still playing the MP in their 360.

thats what I said, but you said it much more elequently.

I think BF Hardline bundle would have been mutually beneficial and more successful. EA should want to go for it because interest seems kinda low for it and for the XB1 it is the only big AAA release for the forseable future (Maybe a MCX bundle would be decent too).

If Sony is smart they will get a marketing deal for the witcher (if MS has not already) I think the next genre Sony is poised to take over is WRPGs which the XBOX has always been better (They have their IP Fable, Morrowind exclusive, ME exclusive and timed exclusive of ME2 and 3, not to mention the XB360 versions of Skyrim/Fallout 3 were far superior to the PS3s), but the sales of DA:I lead me to believe the portion of the 360 audience moving to PS4 is that group (Not the Halo, Gears group).

Like I said, it's not 'doom'. Of course the XB1 is going to get spikes when there are big releases, especially when MS have the marketing rights, but even the WiiU has spikes in sales. I'm talking about the weekly averagess. If you look at this month and what the PS4 has that the XB1 doesn't, you have to ask yourself how the momentum of the PS4 will effect mindshare in April. By the time May comes along, the mindshare could be so strong for the PS4 that The Witcher may well create a spike for the XB1 but perhaps NOT the spike we would expect. Perhaps The Witcher might create a spike in favour of the PS4. Then we also have Dark Souls HD, which is likely to push interest more on the PS4 simply because it's a Souls game and Bloodborne is seen as a Souls game. IF the XB1 can't match the PS4s momentum or at least slow it down, we could see a rapid decline in weekly sales for the XB1.

T-0 PS4 reaches new peak at number #3
BB- #6
PS4- #8
XB1- #22
T-0 XB1- #74 (its actually fallen some, it was 67 at one point I think)

BF Hardline making a decent 11th hour push with the PS4 standard version at 14(deluxe 28) and XB1 deluxe at 21 and standard at 23.

With the PS4 having 2 games in the top 6 I am surprised BF on PS4 is about equal with XB1 (if you average the version ranks together they are pretty close), and seeing it is the strongest genre on the XB1(in relation to the PS4 and overall).
