Exactly. A lot of people kept saying that they gave up on the franchise after XIII, I was like "yeah yeah, right". It is the nature of the franchise to change. Every new director have a different vision. Why would anyone not give chance for a promising game just because he hated the previous one that had a different vision behind it. Now that XV is under the spot light, all of XIII hate belongs to XIII alone, not to the franchise... as it should.
XIII never had a big ambition, I was never excited for it. Versus got all of my attention.
