so keeping those ratios in mind and if they hold true for bloodborne, and it sells 150k in Japan,

It means it would sell around 390k in US, around 280k in EU, around 75k in rest of the world, for a total of 750k.

But considering the slower rate at which Japan is adopting next gen consoles compared to US and EU, I think west will have in even higher ratio for Bloodborne compared to Dark Souls games.


Are these percentages for FW or LTD?

LTD by the look of things. Dark Souls FW in Japan was 280K, FW in the USA was 140K. LTD Japan is 500K and USA is 650K

I don't like giving any sort of free pass ton the basis of "launch window" for an existing 2 game IP.  Sure there are competing priorities, especially the demand to make a game look nextgen. But really some of the core concepts in the franchise should be embedded in each game's DNA. The branching powers tree and karma system really took a hit with Second Son. TBH I preferred First Light in terms of powers development, and I am really glad that First Light got a physical release. I like the tighter concentration on one power set than the progressive redundancy caused by each new power set Delsin obtained through the game. In fact I would really like the next inFamous to use Fetch as the protagonist, with a significant cameo from good or evil Delsin (according to which game save you bring across). And of course perks for Fetch if you have complete First Light.

OT: MGSV wow! But I expect that to disappear from the top 20 fairly quickly, and then reappear in August sime time.

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

According to COMG BloodBorne will probabily sell 150,000 to 200,000 FW in Japan.

Bloodborne 150k first week in Japan? Should be happy if it can  sell 100k first week. It will easily sell more in the US. Probably 60% more.

Perhaps when considered in isolation. But compared to inFamous 1 and 2 it is merely a good game. I have no personal experience of KZ:SF and as I dislike fps no doubt I would probably regard it as bad. But plenty of fps fans like KZ SF well enough.

I liked Infamous: Second Son far more than the first two. It has so much more variety in gameplay, and isa much more intense game. Story and content are the only thing its lacking I guess, but it makes up for that with the gameplay variety and fun. I thought Infamous was a bad game and 2 was average. But I think Second Son is awesome.

I've played KZ: SF too, not finished it, but played it for an hour. It left a bad taste in my mouth, really its the worst KZ game I've played.

Not that it matters at an individual level because everyone's opinion is right from their own perspective, but just know that your's seems to be the minority view on what the best game in the infamous series. However, from a market perspective the general vibe that second son isn't the best infamous game does make a difference in the degree to which people are able to be convinced to buy this bundle.

I guess most forum people do but among my friends everyone who has played Infamous games agrees with me. Maybe some people think Infamous 2's story is good enough to put it above Second Son. Well I don't. I also don't see how its a "market perspective" now, I barely see anyone outside of VGC say that.

That's a 3rd party seller. The Amazon NBA2K15 bundle is still fully in stock. Xb one seems to be dropping. I guess 2K15 isn't such a big draw.

Yes of course, I am thinking supply chain. If one retailer is running out that implies that product is no longer in the supply chain. Eventually other retailers will exaust their supply too if the there are no more being added to the supply chain.
