I believe that game is just more of a alternate spin-off rather than prequel to the actual Yakuza series.  Just like Yakuza Kenzan on PS3.

I wouldn't mind if those games were also localized but I'll be satisfied if just the main series is localized.

I got yakuzo 4 free on ps plus. Will be my first ever yakuzo. Series looks good.

Sega is all about promises. But fullfilling them? No way.

just caught up to all of the mainline games that have been released in the west a couple days ago and i downloaded this demo and had a blast with could easily be my favorite in the series and man i am really tempted to import it depending on how soon guides for it come out.

Sony stepped in to get Yakuza 5 over here (i assume they're handling the localization costs), so i see no reason it won't get released. I think it's planned for summer of this year.

Usually though, yeah, i don't have much faith in SEGA.

That's the problem though, Sony stepped in and that's the only reason it's getting localized.  Sega doesn't give two shits about their fans.   What really pissed me off though was Sega jumping in and saying they were doing this for their fans.  What about Phantasy Star Online 2 and Phantasy Star Nova with all their doing this for their fans.  Fuck Sega.

Maybe he's not referring to prequel, maybe he's referring to that terrible spinoff.  A game that proves just because it has zombies in it, doesn't mean it'll sell.  What was Sega thinking releasing that crap instead of Yakuza 5?  It's like Sega was trying not to get sales, then blaming fans for not supporting the series.
