Forums - General - What happened to Ronaldinho?

After 2 consecutive years of winning Fifa's Player of the year awards in 2006 he barely made the top coming in at 3 and in 2007 he didn't even make the top 3 list.

In 2007 he had shot half the amount of goals he had shot in 2005 -his best year.  His troubles seemed to have started at the world cup with a lackluter performance from Brazil and have continued ever since. I realize he became a father around that time, so IDK if that has had some influence in him "cutting back" on his game.

Why has his performance dropped so much the past 2 years?

Don't know much about soccer (football).....But I guess since he just became a father, he is probably paying more attention to his kids....OR those drugs he's been taking, they are effecting him...JK

Ronaldinho. ahahahahahahaha. the most overrated player today in soccer.
when he came to barca in 2004 he ripped it up, until 2006. 2007 season he played average. AVERAGE. i sued to watch barcqa play on gol tv all the time. he is avg.

i dont know why people think hes so good. because of the moves he does? can he do that in the game? no, but i know some1 who can. C.Ronaldo, and he proves this, as he has like 25 goals this season.

example. 2006 fifa world cup. ronaldinho played like abosoloute crap. utter garbage. yes i love brazil, but he played like garbage. 0 goals 0 assists. it was ronaldo the d and the keeper who did all the work in that world cup.

example #2: b4 teh copa american he backs out because of a "tiring" season with his club and the wc. rofl. rofl rofl. i didnt see messi complaining, or even gilberto. and they are 20 and 31.

so ronaldinho. you are overrated. either re gain your form or u will get benched, and dunga will do it. i say replace ronaldinho with Diego of werder bremen. yes most people will be like "who the fuck is diego?" but just search him on u tube. hes also the highest rqated player in the bundesliga.

i dont even know why ronaldinho is on the cover of fifa 07 and 08.

Or he might still be having the same problems while playing in the last World Cup: Hookers and the PS2.

Diego Maradona says hi. he was addicted to cocaine. it ruined his career.

well Captain Prefrence

you can not say that Ronaldinho is average.. cause it's a fact he isn't
he is more than average

but he has not been able to stand out the last two seasons..

that's not so nice, but that doesn't make him average
the things he has done, and sometimes still does, are just really above average..

''Hadouken!''

cocaine is not a drug that makes you preforme better

it's a recreational drug

not a drug that short track athletes use to run better
or the cyclers use to cycle better..

it won't make you play football better.. that's the big difference..

yes i know cocaine dsnt make u perform better. in fact i never said that.

also ronaldinho is average. how many goals this season? how many assissts? do u watch barca play on gol tv? he plays terrible along with deco and henry. messi is carrying that whole team along with toure and abidal and puyol.

the only things he does that arnt average or those fancy moves on joga bonito commercials, and he might hrow in a fancy step over here or there in a game. then he might score a goal.

dude

i'm really football guy myself
and have never been a fan of ronaldinho

but i can not deny that things he has done in the past
even if it may two seasons ago
are above average

i have, and probaly you too, seen actions of him that average players just don't make

i don't think that there is any team, even now at this moment,
that wouldn't want to have Ronaldinho on it's midfield....
